Leah Mickens

Leah Mickens was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from the University of South Carolina, Columbia with a master of library science in 2006 and received a master of science in digital media from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009. She has performed archival work at major repositories of Southern history, including the King Center, the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum and Holocaust Memorial, the Georgia State University Special Collections, the Emory University Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library, the Georgia Institute of Technology Archives, and the Auburn Avenue Research Library. She is currently working on a speculative fiction trilogy about a theocratic regime established in the ruins of a post-apocalyptic American South.
