Local Humanist Chapters Celebrate the Holidays

HumanLight, celebrated on December 23, is a time for celebration and community for those who wish to affirm the positive values of humanism. With most December celebrations grounded in supernatural religious beliefs, HumanLight presents an alternative reason to celebrate—a future toward a peaceful world.

Over 25 local humanist and atheist groups across the country celebrated HumanLight or the Winter Solstice with parties, dinners, and lectures by leading humanist leaders like Roy Speckhardt, Dan Barker and Paul Kurtz. Check out pictures below from HumanLight celebrations in Arizona, Ohio, and New Jersey.
