MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR: Happy Thanksgiving (Without God)

It’s time for the Thanksgiving issue of HNN! Though Thanksgiving began as a religious tradition, as John Rodwan discusses in the lead article of this week’s issue, that doesn’t mean secular Americans can’t join in the fun of eating delicious food (in moderation, of course, as Jason Torpy argues in his article this week), spending quality time with family and friends, and, of course, football (if you’re into that).

Looking for a secular “grace” to say at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year? Visit the AHA’s Secular Seasons website for suggestions. And all of us at the American Humanist Assocation wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
