Seaward holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Boston and is pursuing a graduate degree in epistemology, ethics, and mind at the University of Edinburgh. He has worked in refugee resettlement, child welfare, and as a public school teacher. He lives in New York City where he works four days per week.
