Lesley Machon and Dr. Noelle O’Riordan
Lesley Machon is a chaplain serving people of all backgrounds and ages in hospitals, hospices, and care homes across Calgary and Banff, Alberta. Alongside her chaplaincy, she is a high school English teacher who believes in the power of storytelling and knowledge-sharing, practices that reflect the deeply human truth that our lives are narrative in nature and that, as author Frederick Buechner wrote, “the story of any one of us is, in some measure, the story of us all.”
Dr. Noelle O’Riordan is an Irish family physician practicing in Calgary, Alberta, with extensive experience in rural medicine. Beyond her family practice, she also cares for patients in elder care homes, where listening to residents’ life stories continues to shape her understanding of aging, dignity, and the human dimensions of medical care.
