Lowrey R. Brown is the Client Services Director and an exit guide for Final Exit Network. She looks forward to a time when those she serves can comfortably and openly plan to end their lives when they are ready. Louis Theroux’s BBC documentary, Choosing Death, followed her and a fellow guide working with a woman who chose to end her life rather than sink into dementia. She is the recipient of the Selma V. Forkosch Award for best Free Inquiry article of 2018, “By My Own Hand: Suicide Can Be a Wise and Gentle Choice.”
