HERE FOR CLIMATE: Energy, Equity, Health, and Solutions in Relation to Climate Change

FOR FOUR THURSDAYS in 2021—January 14, 21, 28, and February 4—the American Humanist Association’s Humanist Environmental Response Effort (HERE) for Climate hosted speakers and panelists online to continue the conversation started in the May 2019 Open Lecture Series Climate Justice: A Better Future for Us All (J/A 2019 Humanist). The new series focused on the challenges the climate crisis brings to communities in relation to energy, food, health, and justice. We learned from scientists, professors, nurses, healthcare administrators, technicians, and activists about how the COVID-19 pandemic has elevated issues but also directed us towards new possibilities. The talks have been adapted and excerpted for this special issue. Watch the full events, including audience Q&A, on AHA’s YouTube Channel or HEREforClimate.org.
