AHA Promotes New Film, The Ledge
Movie lovers: don’t miss a new major motion picture set to release this summer! Reason Cinema and the American Humanist Association is proud to promote The Ledge, a gripping, complex new thriller from IFC Films, focuses on the battle of philosophies between a fundamentalist Christian and a nonbeliever that escalates into a lethal battle of wills.
After embarking on a passionate affair with the wife (Liv Tyler, Lord of the Rings) of his evangelical Christian neighbor (Patrick Wilson, Little Children), Gavin (Charlie Hunnam, Sons of Anarchy) soon finds himself in a philosophical conflict that will have life or death consequences. The film also stars Academy Award nominee Terrence Howard (Hustle and Flow).
Writer and director Matthew Chapman is the great-great-grandson of Charles Darwin and was a featured speaker at the 2008 American Humanist Association Conference in Washington DC. Chapman has written and directed several independent and mainstream films.
