MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR: HNN

Summer’s nearly over, and that means time for back-to-school! It’s natural for humanists to be very concerned about the state of education today. Young adults may consider themselves humanist or atheist now, but there’s a good chance that they may revert back to the religion that they were raised, especially when big life changing events such as marriage or having children come into play. That’s why it’s crucial for our movement to begin developing resources for secular schools and humanist education. The AHA’s Kochhar Humanist Education Center is already moving forward with creating a central place for all your humanist education needs. Let’s give parents more options, lest we lose them and their children to the Catholic church down the street. As always, we welcome your feedback at hnn@americanhumanist.org.
