In 1956, the phrase “In God We Trust” was adopted as the official motto of the United States, replacing the original motto “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of Many, One). With a growing number of secular, humanist, and atheist Americans, a more inclusive motto is needed.

If you could change “In God We Trust,” what would you change it to? Take our poll, or leave your own idea for a new motto in the comments below!
