Herb Silverman

Herb Silverman is founder and president of the Secular Coalition for America, founder of the Secular Humanists of the Lowcountry in Charleston, South Carolina, and a former board member of the American Humanist Association. He is also Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the College of Charleston. A regular contributor at the Huffington Post, Silverman is the author of Candidate without a Prayer: An Autobiography of a Jewish Atheist in the Bible Belt (2012). His recent book, An Atheist Stranger in a Strange Religious Land, was published by Humanist Press.
