Normally, a new year brings an organization new opportunities to examine and reorder its priorities, to make new commitments, and to launch new projects. In 2017, U.S. secular organizations will do all that, but they also have to reassess their missions and their strategies in the wake of the presidential election. The American Humanist Association is not immune to that need.

This week, Executive Director Roy Speckhardt joins us to talk about how AHA has stepped up post-election and about plans for the coming year. We talk about how the organization is getting more political and more activist. We also talk about how AHA can help us all get more involved to protect this Humanist world we’ve been building.
