    Wow.  This poetry epitomizes the lives of these children and captivates my imagination.  Succinct, poignant, with some clever twists, the pictures and the poetry depicts the severity of conditions here in the United States only 100 years ago.  Lewis Hine would have been touched.  Yet I wonder if our society has really changed that much or if our poor children’s lives have been improved?
